First Day outfit and creating my own path
Tomorrow is the first day of school. New supplies, new clothes. In grade school, department stores bombarded our televisions with back-to-school sales on supplies; Teen magazines gave us tons of outfit ideas to get us excited for our first day. In college, you get four first days if your classes are stretched out. Two in fall and two in spring. So you have a few opportunities to experiment with fashion.
To get over my unnecessary nerves, I look at the first day as any other day. But, I still need to look fabulous and do my job. I like wearing fun, trendy stuff like a graphic t-shirt, pleated maxi skirt, a cute scarf, and booties. Or I could wear a simple black dress and a chestnut jacket. I'm leaning towards the second option.
There's a lot of things happening this semester. I'm taking script writing, investigative journalism, math, and a political class. I'm also trying to maintain this blog, shoot more videos, and work. I may even model for the school magazine. I plan to study hard and focus on myself. Hopefully everything works out.
I fear burning out, but there's so many things I want to accomplish. I don't want to sell myself short. I just want to have fun and learn the skills I need to land my dream job. Creating stories in a powerful way.
