What I Learned at Million Dollar Weekend

My month started off with 2 days of training on how to change lives for the better. The truth is, I'm always looking for ways I can inspire people and make their lives easier. That's just my makeup. And this particular way was how to up-level my financial coach business.

I was right in the room (virtually) where a billionaire and millionaires talked about how they grew their financial businesses from nothing! How they started with a passion and correcting an injustice and telling people their dreams! Today, their businesses continue to thrive, even in a pandemic. They're home right now relaxing and showing others their path to success. It made me realize that I need to think bigger than what I'm doing in my businesses. I can still thrive physically, financially, and spiritually while this virus continues to plague the land. One of the speakers said things come our way that we'd rather not have happen. We need to use the time during those challenges to improve. To challenge ourselves to do more. What I work on in my life and business TODAY will make me stronger in the future. The future is unlimited. I will not limit myself to my current situation. They talked about the importance of surrounding yourself with people who have more knowledge than you, can help you grow, and how you make mistakes before you are good at your business. Who cares if anyone thinks you're crazy? They won't think you're crazy when the money starts rolling in. It's just a part of life. If you hang in there and do what it takes to improve yourself, you are on your way to winning!

Success doesn't happen right away. And it definitely doesn't happen from sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. You have to be the face of your business and not hide behind a promise or the product/service you sell. If you believe in it, speak it, breathe it, be it. (Of course I knew this piece already, but it was nice to hear it confirmed from people who are wayyyyy more successful than me.) As one friend puts it, "Delayed gratification." Would you rather have all quick wins that don't last too long, or working for something bigger and better that leaves a lasting effect of winning on your life? A mixture is pretty good.

One of the guest speakers told us a person he added to his team wasn't supposed to make it. The business was supposed to be for married people with children. He was fresh out of college and hadn't started a family. Sounds a lot like me. He now makes 37 million dollars a month. A MONTH. Talk about inspiration! And that's how I face my challenges. Easy doesn't always mean better. As long as I believe in the cause and can put a little work in, I can make it and defy the odds. Challenges are tiring, but they definitely excite me!

So what are my goals this month? Get closer to God, normalize financial literacy amongst underserved communities, hire brilliant, ambitious millennials and help them build a legacy for their families, teach more entrepreneurs that it's okay to be professional and fun with their online businesses to connect with their followers.

A vision is nothing without action. I'm ready to do the work. What are your goals this month? What have you been putting off for weeks or months that you can start working on today? Right now? Let me know below and let's hold each other accountable!
